1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

2. The Service

Umano provides tools to create estimates, schedule jobs, manage customers, send invoices, and accept payments, along with an optional AI assistant that drafts records for your review. Features and plans may change over time. The AI assistant produces drafts for your approval; you are responsible for reviewing all content before it is sent or acted upon.

3. Subscriptions & billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) until cancelled.
• Free trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel anytime; access continues through the end of the current billing period.
• Payment processing is handled by our third-party provider (Stripe). Your use of payment features is also subject to their terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: violating any law; infringing others' rights; uploading malicious code; attempting to gain unauthorized access; or using the Service to send unlawful, deceptive, or unsolicited communications.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the data and content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Content.

6. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties such as Stripe (payments) and email providers. We are not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated drafts will be accurate or complete.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Umano will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we may delete Your Content after a reasonable period.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
